International Space Station (ISS) Mission Control

You are now tracking humanity's largest orbital laboratory. This Real-Time ISS Tracker calculates the exact position of the station as it travels at 27,600 km/h (17,150 mph), orbiting Earth every 90 minutes.

Unlike basic maps, our tool connects to your browser's location to calculate the Distance and Altitude of the ISS relative to you right now.

🔭 Pass Predictions See the Orange Path on the map? That is the future trajectory. If it crosses your location, look up!
🌍 Ground Track The Green Path shows where the station has just been. Use this to trace its orbit history over the last hour.

    ❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How can I see the ISS with my naked eye?
The ISS looks like a very bright star moving quickly across the sky. It is best visible shortly after sunset or before sunrise. Use our map to see if the "Orange Line" (future path) goes over your city.
    Why does the speed change?
The ISS maintains a fairly constant speed, but it may appear to fluctuate slightly due to orbital mechanics and altitude adjustments (reboosts) performed by docked spacecraft.
Who is currently on the ISS?
The crew changes every few months. Our tool pulls live data from the "People in Space" API to show you the current Expedition crew members from NASA, Roscosmos, ESA, and JAXA.
